Milton Bradley was born 1836 in Maine. He started out as a lithographer. He first gained notoriety from making a picture of President Lincoln. Once the president grew a beard Bradley knew he had to make something new. He then came up with the board game The Checkered Game of Life. By 1880 Bradley had turned his attention to puzzles. Today the Milton Bradley Corporation is one of the leaders in puzzles.
